Common specifications include mesh counts ranging from 20 to 500 mesh, wire diameters between 0.03 mm and 0.5 mm, and aperture sizes from 0.04 mm to 1.0 mm. Standard roll widths are 1.0 m or 1.2 m, with lengths of 30 m or 50 m. This mesh is widely used in precision filtration, EMI/RFI shielding, battery production, and chemical processing due to its mechanical stability, anti-sparking properties, and excellent formability.

Specifications and Dimensions

  • Mesh Count (Mesh/Inch): Common options include: 20, 30, 40 60, 80, 100 ,150, 200, 300,500 mesh. These mesh counts determine the number of openings per linear inch and directly affect filtration precision and airflow.
  • Wire Diameter: The wire diameter typically ranges from 0.03 mm to 0.5 mm (approximately 0.0012″ to 0.02″). Examples: 20 mesh → ~0.40 mm; 100 mesh → ~0.12 mm; 300 mesh → ~0.05 mm.
  • Aperture Size (Opening Size): The opening size or aperture is inversely related to mesh count and wire diameter. Available ranges: Coarse Mesh: 1.0 mm – 0.5 mm; Fine Mesh: 0.2 mm – 0.05 mm; Ultra-Fine Mesh: as small as 0.03 mm (30 microns). Aperture tolerances are typically within ±5%.
  • Thickness: The overall fabric thickness ranges from 0.08 mm to 1.0 mm, depending on the weave style and wire size. For example: 100 mesh with 0.12 mm wire → ~0.16 mm thickness; 30 mesh with 0.4 mm wire → ~0.6 mm thickness.
  • Roll Width: Standard roll widths include: 1.0 meter (39.4 inches); 1.2 meter (47.2 inches). Custom widths available up to 1.5 meters (59 inches) depending on production capacity.
  • Roll Length: Common roll lengths are: 30 meters (98.4 feet); 50 meters (164 feet). Other lengths such as 10 m, 20 m, or custom cut lengths are available upon request.
  • Weave Types: Phosphor copper wire mesh is generally offered in: Plain Weave (most common for general filtration); Twill Weave (greater strength and finer filtration); Plain Dutch & Twill Dutch Weave (used for very fine separation and higher pressure filtration).
  • Open Area (%): The percentage of open area ranges from 30% to 75%, depending on mesh count and wire diameter. Coarse Mesh: ~65% – 75%; Medium Mesh: ~40% – 60%; Fine Mesh: ~30% – 45%.
  • Surface Treatment: Typically available in: As-woven (natural phosphor bronze color); Annealed for increased ductility. No additional coatings are used, as phosphor bronze naturally resists oxidation and corrosion.
