Wire cloth can be woven from a big range of weavable metals, primarily manufactured using stainless steel to DIN 1.4301 (AISI 304) or DIN 1.4401 (AISI 316).

Mallas also manufacture wire cloth using many other alloys, according to customer requirements.  Our range currently includes more than 2500 different products. We can custom produce wire mesh cloth using special alloys and weavable materials for example, aluminum, nickel wire, copper, to meet specific application requirements.

Stainless Steel we use can be classified according to the following categories:

Ferritic stainless steels are magnetic and nickel free. They consist of an iron/chrome alloy.
Austenitic stainless steels are not magnetic and extremely diverse. They contain nickel, ca 17% chrome, molybdenum, titanium or niobium additives.

Austenitic-ferritic steels are magnetic and also described as Duplex Steels.
